We offer small batches of custom hand-tied flies that are designed for our home waters. Built with function and durability in mind, each fly is made using premium, name-brand materials.

Trout love suckers, which means we do, too. Kill whitey was originally designed to mimic mountain whitefish for trophy brown trout. We’ve color adapted it for redhorse in the Midwest, or anywhere where a pop of color provokes.
This fly is equally at home in the mouths of pike; however, the back hook might struggle with musky.

Whether inland or Great Lakes, trout love baitfish, big bugs, and eggs. This box capitalizes on these desires by doubling down on food sources available to Great Lakes migratory trout, and our research shows they can’t get enough of them. The darter omelet is an incredibly versatile fly. Float it under a large Oros indicator through long, deep runs, or quarter down and across with a slow swing and jig. Come up to a riffle spilling into a drop off at the head of a bend, and simply take off the indicator and tight line the fly through. Sight fishing in shallow conditions? Tight line them right through their lane and watch them turn heads. Twitching across pools is also very effective.
For northern tributaries, we’ve included egg sucking stones, leaches, and chartreuse caddis larva. Together, these flies allow you to fish any water type in most conditions, from low and clear to high and dirty. All flies are tied with tungsten beads ranging from 4-5.5mm to get you down into the zone and stay there.

Go get yourself a biggin’ with this hybrid game changer modified for the home waters. This pattern has been really effective late-summer into the fall when the water is gin clear and the fish have been pressured. With a controlled amount of flash, this fly is designed to be a more natural presentation but still able to grab the attention of a biggin’.
Impart twitches, slides, or glides. Have it suspend or stall by structure. There’s really no wrong way to fish this one. Constructed primarily from synthetic materials for durability, helping prevent dye bleed and feather breakdown.

Olive: No matter the conditions, olive is our go to color in sands.
Tan/Brown: A more natural color scheme will help you get the job done when the water is low and gin clear and the sun is out.
Black: Dark flies on dark days. Sure, but dark flies also work when the sun is out. Especially in the early season.
Yellow: We like throwing yellow when the water has a tea color stain to it or in changing light conditions.
